One more observation....

Why is it that ugly protestors interrupt McCain rallies? I have watched a lot of tv coverage and have never seen ugly Republicans interrupting Obama's rallies. Further confirms my belief that liberals are unhappy, angry people. Some may argue that I paint with a wide brush but I am basing it on the folks my paths have crossed. Life to the liberals I know is always viewed with "a glass half empty" outlook.

There has been a lot of talk about Joe the plumber. I happen to have Joes in my family. None of them will be making $250,000 this year and yet none of them will vote for Obama. Having someone spread their wealth around smells like socialism to the Joes I know. Our family wants to have the power to choose who we share our blessings with. Why should we be forced to have our money given to people and causes that do not match our beliefs and values?

I continue to pray that hearts might be open to seeing the truth and not be swayed by the slick words of Obama.

I am one of those liberals that you were talking about....LOL! But I am not voting for Obama. He scares me to death. Not all liberals are blind. I, too, have worries about McCain's age and health and Palin becoming the president. I sure hope God is watching over us

Have been making the rounds today...first found Kari's post about Sarah Palin...you might find it interesting at Just Livin' Large...it's on my sidebar. Then I'm hearing more about what Miss M-N has been posting on her blogs. Now I'm finding your post. Amen to all of it. I commend you for standing up for your opinions.

I do think that the angry protestors shouting the ugly comments at McCain/Palin rallies are probably not Republicans.

I love this post! I'm so glad you visited me and I'm so glad to visit you. It's wonderful to hear a like voice out there. (Poor Vee - she's been keeping me going with her support and I know it's a heavy load to bear. lol).

"I have met more people who are educated beyond their intellect" is probably THE best line I've heard in forever. That says so much about Obama and many, many of his cohorts. God help us all, I don't want a liberal who has taken his cues from some of the most socialist-minded people from our so-called "institutions of higher learning" to be deciding things important to my life. What are people thinking when they vote for him?
I actually saw an interview with a woman who was going on and on about how much she loved Sarah Palin, how "real" she thought she was, and how she identified with her so much more than she did with any of the other people on the big tickets. She then said that was why she couldn't vote for Palin - she said she was "too everyday" and "too much like" herself and since she knew SHE wasn't capable of being vice-president, she wasn't confident that Sarah Palin could be either. SAY WHAT??? Suffer from a little self-hatred, lady? People continue to amaze me with their thought processes.

Okay - I'll stop now. Just nice to read something about politics (rare enough here in Blogland) and even nicer to read something that I can agree with. :)

This comment is not meant to change your mind because I can tell that you feel strongly for your candidate. Over the last few months I have diligently been watching the news and I appreciate the way Obama has conducted himself. He is a strong man who has basic beliefs that support what I believe too. As far as education, I'd rather have a president that was top in his class than McCain who graduated 5th from the bottom from the Naval Academy. Even his best friend said on tv that he was best at partying. I'm looking for leadership and I feel McCain's temperment would lead him to focusing on more war.
It's good to be in America where we can have differences of opinion. Let's both pray that whoever gets elected will be the right person for the job.
