Even Grandmas Keep Up With The News

I may be busy chasing after a 17 month old but that does not mean I have forgotten about the rest of my country. Senator Specter from the great state of Pennsylvania was recently quoted saying "There is more anger in America today than at any time I can remember." Perhaps that is because there are more people trying to change America into something we do not want it changed into. Perhaps it is because as our population has aged we have become less intimidated by our elected officials and grown tired of spending our hard earned money on those who choose not to work hard. Perhaps more folks are concerned for the generations who will follow. Perhaps more people are enjoying life and don't want a health care plan that will deny them life saving treatments as they age.

Whatever the reasons, I am insulted that they blame the vocal output from citizens on talk radio. Do they think we do not read and think on our own? I am not a member of any group nor do I take marching orders from anyone but my Lord. I do know the difference between right and wrong and am not afraid to tell you when something is wrong. This plan as set forth before Congress is VERY flawed and I will not sit idly by. I resent the complaints of paid representatives who are disturbed by those of us who disagree with them. I pray they will feel our disapproval at the polls. We need a new breed of representative in Washington.

And now I will spend the day with a young lady who is discovering what it is to be free to explore and learn about the world around her. I pray that as she grows she will continue to experience the rights and freedoms of Americans set forth by brave souls so many years ago!

Hi,
Amen to all you have said. The liberals seem to be trying to take away free speech . They are making out like opposition is extreme and verging om militant. Sometimes I'm afraid they may plant troublemakers to fulfil what they are saying .All this trying to get people to forward "fishy" emails to the White House .What in the world does" fishy" mean? Just saying what you think? I think telling people to forward those emails is Obama trying to intimidate people not to say what they think. This is America , not some communist country. That's why people get are getting mad.

I share your outrage. I can't believe that the government wants into every aspect of our healthcare. There is not a single thing constitutional about this plan. Of course, Medicare isn't constitutional either.

The fact that they want our medical records electronic enrages me - AND Newt Gingrich got that started.

The end of life issues - how dare they. This is no ones business but the family and the doctor of their choice. Can you imagine that the government might decide how valuable your grandmother's life is to the world?

Unbelievable! I pray the heat stays stoked. I'm afraid this will pass the house even so.

And now Sen. Harry Reid calls town hall protesters as "evil-mongerers". LOL, so we can add that to the growning list of silly school yard names that our "employees" - the representatives - are call us! These disrepectful politicians must be fired!
