Planting and Puttering

The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.
Song of Solomon 2:12

Today I planted some annuals.....

And then sat, enjoyed the view and dreamed of planting azaleas down by the trees so I could enjoy their blossoms next spring.

I love days like this!

Sue,
Your annuals are going to be LOVELY this summer. Glad you enjoyed your relaxing Sunday.

Hey,
I saw where you had posted on "Centennial Farmhouse". I also saw a flag in this post. I know you were AT a Tea Party. Grab your apron, your flag and send Joni a picture of yourself so she can post it on her "Patriots in Aprons" blog! I just sent mine a little bit ago!

Have a GREAT week!

Well look at you getting your flowers going. Is that an inverted tomato wire? If so, it's a clever way to provide support for your flowers as they grow.

Yep, the previous homeowner left a pile of them and I figure they will support the Morning glory seeds when they become vines! Unfortunately no veggie garden this year!

My friend moved from the PNW to Florida --- 40 years ago. She misses the lilacs so much! Sometimes I cut them and place them in zip-locks bags with ice cubes. Carefully packaged in a box, I mail them to her --- and then she sends me pictures of them in her house in a pretty vase. It's one way we stay connected after all these years.

I'm glad you can smell them. . .
