Above All Things

I have taken you in my arms,
I prefer you to my life itself,
For I love you, I love you.
And my most ardent dream is
To spend my days in such a way
To be near you, to be near you.
And this present life is nothing,
Without knowing that we're loving,
I am here to live for you,
Yes here to live with you.
For I love you.
I have taken you in my heart,
I prefer you to all else
Because I love you.
And together we in prayer
Beseech the blessing
We will share, I love you.
I place your love above all things,
Nothing would be more bitter to me
Than to be of a different mind than you,
Than to be of a different mind.
I place your love above all things,
Nothing would be more painful to me
Than to be of a different heart than you,
Than to be of a different heart.
I love you.
And this present life is nothing,
Without knowing that we're loving,
I am here to live for you, here to live with you.
For I love you. I love you.
I place your love above all things,
Nothing would be more bitter to me
Than to be of a different mind than you,
Than to be of a different mind.
I place your love above all things,
Nothing would be more painful to me
Than to be of a different heart than you,
Than to be of a different heart.

Today we celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary! I can truly say that each day gets better. It has been a wonderful 30 years and it would be so wonderful to share another 30. (It would be fun to be that young again! But with the wisdom we have now!)

Sue,
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

How fun to see the 2 of you, back in the day! The song you posted was just beautiful and I felt the love these 30 years have brought to you and your husband (your children and grandchildren surely benefited from a strong, Christian marriage such as the 2 of you have had. You are so lucky...my first husband and I would have been married 31 years this October, but alas...he didn't see the need to stay committed. My hubby now and I will celebrate 11 years in September and I couldn't be happier. Still, I wonder what it would be like to have been with one husband all those years.

CONGRATS!
