Can it be? The basil is ending...so sad...

Hard to believe that this is the last of the basil..enough for one small batch of pesto. Nothing is better than the smell of fresh basil...even chocolate can't beat it!

A tad bit more to add to the freezer. I WANT it NOW but I know in the middle of winter it will be a taste of summer.
Instead I chopped and made some crab and corn chowder for supper. The house smelled great!

Now to dream and plan for next summer's REAL garden!

Aahhh, fresh basil is heavenly! Ours is still going strong, along with the parsley and thyme. Fresh herbs make such a difference!

Ohhhh, okay, I'll try doing that with my basil patch. I've got a big pot of it and have no idea what to do with it. The smell is not a favorite of mine, but maybe I can get used to it. I know it'll be great in sauces and pizza.
